Hello ,

I'm in England as you know. I noted that speaks about local temple helping out with travel expenses. Does this mean you have to be Jewish to attend Shriner's, or am I way off base?

Thanks a lot. This is very useful information. I think it also really depends on the individual Shriners Hospital. I’ll be making those calls today and if I find out anything different, I’ll definitely post.

I just wanted to chime in here since I've learned quite a bit about how Shriners works over the past five and a half years. Most of what everyone posted is similar to what my understanding is but I wanted to add a few things. You can apply directly to the hospital, without a sponsor, and still receive assistance with travel expenses. However, it does not come from the hospital but rather from your local temple. >
