Actually, you might want to read the following article: Cancer Res. 2001 Feb 15;61(4):1439-44 Vitamin D is a prooxidant in breast cancer cells. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve & db=pubmed & dopt=Abstra\ ct & list_uids=11245448 In other words, the cancer fighting effects of vitamin D, may be more related to a prooxidant effect, rather than any antioxidant effect.
