This allowed the coll vision to become suppressed n cld explain Hitler as a fanatic demagogue to call on the coll archetypal myth to be acted out. today, it is beyond comprehension that so many basically decent Germans got pulled into this - but they were unconscious! n I am old enough to rememb my German classmates - teenagers in my Swiss boarding school - idolizing Hitler! as most of humanity - sigh - never heard of the unconscious, the best that has been said is 'forgive them, they know not what they do!' Today's generat of Germans have certainly woken up n now suff coll guilt.
