Guest guest
Hi Deb,If you google Uveitis, you will find a lot of info, and also there's a Uveitis group. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/uveitissupport/?yguid=408502367Not to panic anybody, but uveitis is responsible for 10% of all blindness. Apparently it can affect the optic nerve. It's said to be an inflammatory disease, but I suspect it's critter-driven. Several things are associated with it: in my case, Lyme and psoriasis. It's a relief to hear that someone else has successfully used CS and DMSO! I was surprised at how fast it cleared things up.I think my floaters are somewhat less, too. Now I'm back to just CS; don't want to over-use. If, like they say, DMSO is drying, I'm not sure I want to use it on a regular basis in the eye.I'll be very interested to hear of your progress and observations. Here's looking at you, kid!Be well,Léna Lena, I have been using 95% CS/5% DMSO for uveitis. My issues are mostly floaters although more recently I found that sitting at the computer gave me severe eye strain and headaches related to this. After using the CS/DMSO, the floaters are not nearly as noticeable and the eye strain is much reduced. I saw your note below about complications so I was wondering what this might be. I bought the book on DMSO but don't recall reading anything of concern. deb > My uveitis is completely cleared, and now I'm just using CS again, > rather than added DMSO. Guest guest
Hi Lena, Your last line made me smile. I enjoy your posts. I did see an ophthalmologist recently about the uveitis and he didn't think it was particularly concerning right now. Thanks for the link to the other group. deb > > > Lena, > > > > I have been using 95% CS/5% DMSO for uveitis. Guest guest
Hi again Lena, How did you get treated by the ophthalmologist? As long as the floaters are not getting worse for me and maybe even improving, along with the eye strain, then that is my barometer. You have a great sense of humor, something we all need! deb > > > > > > > Lena, > > > > > > > > I have been using 95% CS/5% DMSO for uveitis.
