Hi Amy,

Welcome to the group. I had both of my knees replaced last year due to

RA. One of mine still gives me alot of grief, but the other one is

completely pain free. I get a little stiffness but that's it. If only

the rest of my body felt so good...... Oh well...

I can't believe your job gave you so much grief. Of all people, I would

think that they would be more understanding. That's OK, you'll find

plenty of understanding here.

Greetings Norm & Lois: Welcome, to you both. What part of British Columbia

do you live in? I live in Windsor, Ontario. People who experience Chronic

pain can sometimes think they have been given a kick in the pants. While

this might be true I am of the belief that we are being tested to see what

kind of people we can become.

Since joining this list I have become in my eyes a much better person. My

empathy has grown tremendously along with my will to try and help. I have

always enjoyed helping but I find by being involved here, I can be more

involved elsewhere.

Blessings & Peace

D.

Hi Amy;

after reading D.'s welcome message, I have nothing to add but my own

welcome. As bad as the situation that brought you here is, I hope you find

some peace and some ideas that will make the whole thing more bearable for

you with our little group.

And , there are no bears here and Ottawa is not considered Northern

Ontario. We do have a lot of jackasses but we keep them all locked up on a

hill ! ( For our US friends that might not know, I'm refering to Parliament

Hill where we keep the jerks that run the country, much to our disgust I

might add )

Hi Amy,

I would like to welcome you to the list too!

I too am a Canadian and live in British Columbia. I live very close to

the Canadian - American Border.

I stay in the background mostly. Amongst other things I have

Fibromyalgia. Needless to say I suffer with the fibro fog, but I also

lose my brains most evenings. I read my e-mails I receive mostly in the

evenings, when the house is quiet and I am only responsible for myself

and since I can't sleep it is great, quiet entertainment.

But and the big but, is that I have to read and reread the messages I

send, because of the mispelling and so my friends tell me, is I leave

out some words. They love it, they say it keeps them entertained trying

to fill in some of the blanks or figure out what I was trying to say.

Therefore, I don't send messages frequently.

The others are right!

This list has great people!

Take Care,

Lois

Hi Amy,

This may be a little late but.......I think you have " stumled " into the right

group. Since we all have a common ground ie. pain, we start from there and we

then find that we have more than pain in common. I have found that no matter

what these people in this group are always there for me.

Welcome welcome.

A new friend,

Kathleen

-- Hello

Hi Everyone ,It has been awhile since I have posted in here. Hope to be back on aregular basis again.Breathing has been worse this past month or so. Could be due to the hightree pollen. Some or all of you may think I am crazy, but I will takemy chances. Has anyone of you ever heard of the term CHEMTRAILS ? Itseems when they spray overhead I have a hard time breathing the airoutside. I really believe that all of this spraying effects our lungs.Any takers on this subject ?Anneliese

Thanks Maree for the update on Ronnii - poor thing must be feeling

yukky. Also the goss on the biggest loser - what a shame, he was a bit

of a hunk too, but no way he could sustain that in the real world and

we all know that stats show in excess of 95% of dieters will regain.

So the bluddy band is Wal's option as Nic says (which I'm cranky with

at the moment as you all know). At least I haven't gained. Anyway I

have a question. Just spoke for the first time to a Melbourne

colleague who was banded 20 months ago and has lost 74kgs. He talked

about lots and he said that a litre of water can equal a kg (water

loading). Is that right? I have always been a storer of water and

worries me that I retain.

Wondering - Cherie

Not only is our Wal a hunk, I understand he has a big hose too!!!!

There is no way these guys could maintain what they were doing, if I

remember rightly one of them said they were working out 8 hours a

day in the lead up to the final weigh in. Impossible in the real

world. So even if they can maintain they calorie intake they can't

maintain the output via exercise.

Regards the water I know that carrying 3litres of water when hiking

is carrying 3kgs but don't know if this equates when consuming it.
