If diflucan helped your child, it sounds like a gut issue, and my first

thought if a child is stimming is that there is a metabolic imbalance due to

gut problems. The most frequent picture I see is malabsorption due to gut

inflammation and ongoing colonization of gut pathogens (yeast and

clostridia) that send poison metabolites to the brain. I believe every

child should have a good trial of MB-12;it is non-toxic and helpful to about

90% of kids, who by definition/diagnosis have methylation dysregulation, but

this is not as critical as getting strict on the diet and eliminating foods

that irritate the gut and making sure he's not dealing with a chronic yeast

colonization. Diet, probiotics and MB-12 are non-toxic and helpful to most

kids, so that is where I would start. The organic acid test you use to

check for gut pathogens also gives you a great deal of information as to

what vital nutrients they are missing, and the RBC minerals along with the

hair test give you an idea of metal toxicity. To be thorough, he should be

tested for viruses too, Comprehensive Viral Panel #3 at Immunosciences, to

make sure a brain virus is not present. If a child is stimming, I don't

care how well they talk, there is still some metabolic/toxic imbalance. Dr.
