We provide the Female Hormone Profile at the Clinic I work from in Chester,

and we use a UK based laboratory to carry out the analysis.

The patient collects a number of saliva samples at intervals over a period of

one month, or one cycle if it is longer than a month. These are sent off

together to the lab who measure oestrogen and progesterone levels, and map these

levels on a graph.

The results are very useful and can help in a number of problems such as

infertility, menstrual problems of any sort and peri-menopausal problems.

Current retail cost of the test is £165, with a practitioner fee of £140.

(Basically you make a £25 mark up on the test fee.)

There are companies in the States which offer similar tests at a lower rate,

but my experience of these is that the results take a long time to get back -

often in excess of 3 weeks.
