Hi MJ,There are three kinds of demodex: two are found in humans, but demodex canis is the one found in dogs, so it shouldn't relate to you at all.Hang in there, kiddo, things can be better, and you're not alone.Be well,Léna Hi Jim, You really understand! Sometimes that's the greatest healing gift of all. For me, Lyme used to be a ravening lion; now it's ducks, nibbling, nibbling, with their sharp, ridgey little beaks. I continue to count my blessings but these smaller things, molehills really, still look like mountains somedays, when I really just want this to be over already! Dr. Loyd posted about the sores on a client's face testing as demodex (remember those creepy micro-photos of the parasites in eye-lash follicles everyone has?) Apparently, they can venture forth into the face when the immune system is challenged, although why they'd decide to do this after I started LDN and MMS, I can't imagine. I've just ordered Licex, which he said is indicated as a remedy. Hopeful that it's appropriate. DE is one of its ingredients, so if it works, I'll concoct my own mix. Trial-and-error time again. My uveitis is completely cleared, and now I'm just using CS again, rather than added DMSO. Will pay very careful attention, now that I've read about its complications. Want to have my opthamology check- up soon anyway. The only person I'd ever dare 'doctor' like I do myself is me. There are lots of sure tried-and-true things I've used on my family over the years, but this lab-rat stuff I'd only try on me! So no, I won't be your doc; only your friend and co-commiserator. I've been without Free & Easy for several days and truly notice the difference! I thought Buxin was the magic bullet for mental attitude, but those F & Es were contributing. More came today, thank goodness! I'm looking forward to Golden Book and 8-Flavor Rehmannia. I'll let everyone know it if helps the kidney/sleep issues. Meanwhile, my capacity to think and design is back. Engineering new products has made me feel cranky this week, sans F & E, but at least I'm able to do it. I'm learning to simply stop when cranky and look at beauty, count my blessings and then move on. I'm looking forward to a time when maintaining a positive attitude isn't quite such an effort. Lyme sure is high maintenance! I'm glad to hear you had 65º today! We had a heat-wave too: 35º. Had to open a window! Sun shone. Made lovely blue shadows on the snow! Lots of different animal tracks stitched the snow on the meadow. I hope the late January sun lifts everybody into a new, upbeat perspective, and that some of the new tinctures, supps, etc. bring happy shifts and renewal. Thanks for being there, Jim. You offer so much good info, with laughs thrown in.;-) Take care, be well, Léna Hi Lena, You know, I read your post with interest (again)! Demodex - that demidytic (sp?) mange or something close right? - because the vet called it demodex for my dog. I am wondering if that would not be part of my problem as my dog is ridden with it! He is being treated with Ivermectin and when he gets done with that I will start him on the MMS. I don't know if I can do them together? By the way - the MMS is helping my old girl Sassy I think. When the llmd told me I had MRSA - he didn't do any tests - just looked at it. I neglected to tell him about the dogs demodex! I am pondering this. What are your thoughts? The more I read up on mold (thanks Jim) the more I am convinced that at least some of my problems stem from this as my office is in my house and I am the one in the family that is usually here a lot! I appreciate all of everyone's posts for me as I was in a huge funk and am at a loss really. My problem is I have "visited" a few docs in the area before I was directed to the llmd who I think saved me from the worst of the worst. The problem is with the distance and the llmd's ability to write certain scripts, I have to keep a reg doc up here. I was directed to 3 dif docs and one I found on my own. None was helpful. Now it looks like I am a "doc" seeker which is ridiculous because I was sent to these docs! To include the one who told me that I am too old to do things. My activity level is zero to below zero - but I do try because I don't want to become stationary. Any how - thanks all for your thoughts. I am a tad bit better today, although am still in the pain level - just not nauseous like I was all of yesterday! I still think people are right too about the thyroid of mine. Interestingly enough - I had thyroid problems before the lyme. it was up and then down. My doc then did not want to do anything about it because I had some months where I was good. So nothing was ever done. What are the tests again to ask for with the thyroid? I am trying to take today to do minimal, but I do have work that needs to be done! Wellness to all. I do hoe and wish for my own rife soon! The funds just aren't there! MJ
