Guest guest Posted June 22, 2001 Report Share Posted June 22, 2001 I very often see herbal tinctures in the health food store using vegetable glycerin, particularly in children's blends, instead of alcohol. Am I correct in assuming that vegetable glycerin is used, in this case, as a preservative? If so, I would be interested in hearing about proper usage of this ingredient.
