Becky: it's my understanding that popcorn (minus all the butter and salt of

course) is pretty benign. It's filling and satisfying because of all that

air needed to puff it up ! Many diet pundits actually recommend it as a

good snack. Am I out in left field here, anyone?

Sometime ago I had a hot air pop corn maker where I could make it just plain, without any oil. Unfortunately, the machine stopped working and so far I could not find a similar one.
