Guest guest
Hi everyone! I'm a new IBCLC planning to go into private practice. I have been an LLLL since 2009 and love working with breastfeeding moms and babies. I feel like I still have a lot to learn so I am taking it slowly setting up my private practice. I have registered motheringbyinstinct.com and hope to get a website up and running this year. I am mostly interested in education, both for parents and for health care providers. I'm presenting a session at the Leader retreat for LLL of NY in just a month and I'm really excited, though nervous, too. My topic is " The Need for Sleep: What Moms Hear, What We Know " and I'm going to focus specificially on the (not) problem of nursing to sleep. I have an MA in Cinema Studies and I'm actually approaching the literature from a discourse analysis perspective. I have two girls, Beatrice (4) and Cora (19mo), both born at home. I also have another life as a screenwriter for TV, and my husband works in film production. I live in Queens, New York City. Nice to meet all of you. Looking forward to all I will be learning from you--
