Hi, this is Rick, Denan's husband.

This is the second time now that I have seen this information

published about STEVIA. Do you know anything about this?

Besides this article I am posting below, I first read about it in a

book called, " The Gladiator Diet " , by Larrian Gillespie.

Seems, Stevia lowers male testosterone levels.

A study conducted on prepubertal male rats showed that chronic

administration (60 days) of a Stevia rebaudiana aqueous extract

produced a decrease in final weight of testis, seminal vesicle and

cauda epididymidis. In addition, the fructose content of the

accessory sex glands and the epididymal sperm concentration are

decreased. Stevia treatment tended to decrease the plasma

testosterone level, probably by a putative affinity of glycosides of

extract for a certain androgen receptor, and no alteration occurred

in luteinizing hormone level. These data are consistent with the

possibility that Stevia extracts may decrease the fertility of male

rats.

> Ben, I have gotten Stevia in the past at a good price but am

having a hard time finding the site I bought it from. One problem

with buying in bulk is that it takes quite a few months to use it and

in two boxes the Stevia had hardened to small clumps. I still used

them but it was kind of a pain. I'm almost out and need to buy some

more. I'll try to do a search within the next day or two and see if

I can find the old site I used. The first time I bought the Stevia I

shared the boxes with a friend.

Ben,

LOL!

So you think Stevia is a stealth food against all of us he-men?

Like one lady said, they need testosterone, too.

Anyway, I'm not much on sugar but when I use it, I use splenda.

Splenda does affect me like sugar.

Have a good one,

Rick
