This is kinda OT, so I'll keep it brief.

Have you checked out the work of Amy Yasko or Rich Van Konynenburg

with respect to fibro?

They think it comes down to a block in the methylation pathway & they

take an orthomolecular approach to fixing it.

In plain english, they think the illness stems from a blockage in one

of the body's most important biochemical pathways and they use

supplements to support the pathway and get it working again.

I have CFS, & I started the program about 19 months ago. I would say

I am about 30-40 percent improved. (And I had seen some of the top

docs.. ph Brewer, Lapp, Papernik, Katz.

yadda,yadda,yadda.)

This is definitely alternative medicine, & it took me a long time to

come round to it, but they've definitely got to the root cause of

these illnesses.

Anyway, if you're interested you can find Rich Van Konynenburg's

papers on the CFS & fibro board at Immunesupport.com. Search under

his username: richvank to call up his papers where he discusses his

theory of the origins of the illness.

He boiled Amy Yasko's very complicated protocol down to just 5 daily

supplements.

Also, he has been working with a Dr in Springfield, Missouri,

on a trial of this protocol in 30 women with CFS & Fibro.

The results are due out soon. It's kind of an informal trial.. they

didn't have the money to make it double blinded or placebo-

controlled, so it won't be written up in a journal, but the results

wll be better than anecdotal testimonials like my own. Something to

watch maybe?

Oh yes, and there is a test that can show whether you have this

blockage or not!It's a relatively new test. Came out in Jan 07 I

think. It's 300 bucks and it's offered by a boutique lab in N.J. so

you'd have to pay an out of network rate.
