I gota laugh at that. We Wisconsinites head south for vacations and any

thing above 50 degrees is shorts weather. Gota love that thick Wisconsin

blood.

Tammy,

You are not nuts and you didn't need a professional to tell you

that! A bad parent? NEVER! I know my dad is the kind that won't

give you any guidance but when all is said and done he usually

says " I could have told you that! " I HATE that! He should keep it

clamped after the fact since he wouldn't give any guidance! Oh well,

I got that stuff from some family members, too. You know, " nobody's

head is perfect! " Yeah, but have you seen this???? I guess they

only saw him once at about 4 months and say he looks fine now (in a

tone like he never should have been banded in the first place!). I

made my sister-in-law take a look at a picture of 's wigged-out

facial assymetry/skull at six weeks and she began to get the

picture...so to speak. She hadn't had any kids at the time of the

comment so I let it go... But now she has her own baby and could see

what I was so concerned about. I'd rather hear the offhand comment

here and there from family members over the next few years rather

than having hear cruel comments when he is older.

You really have been through it all and you have given so many others

insight and hope in pursuing different treatments. I am so glad you

don't have to drive to Madison for the DOC band either....and in the

middle of winter. We actually had a snow Wednesday that accumulated

to about 2 inches - it melted later that day but it was sooo nice for

me and refreshing! I hope we have a cold, snowy winter here....I'm

looking forward to taking out for a sled run! (We actually got

a plastic one - not the 6' wooden toboggan I grew up with, but it

will do!) I can always hope...some winters we go without any snow at

all...usually just ice storms.

Take care and get out that sled!!!

Zachary (14mts) has had his band for four weeks. We knew he might be

in it longer because of his age and we were going to just be patient.

BUT we already see a difference. We can't believe his head is actually

looking rounder but more important the big bulde is getting smaller.

And we didn't even notice that his forehead was lopsided until now

that it is so round. I didn't think he could get any cuter! I'm so

glad we are doing this. By 18mth it will be off and he'll never know

but when hes older and we show him pictures I think he'll appreciate

since he's very blonde andhas a crew cut. I'm so happy for him.

Unrealted note. Enjoy your winter this weekend: in Orlando it will be

78 degrees-thats time for us to wear long sleves!!!!HAHA G

I found that nuts were hard on my gallbladder when I was experiencing

attacks. I do not have as much problems with them now that I seem to

have my gallbladder better in control. (touch wood:)

Many foods will irritate the gallbladder when it is swollen from

attacks. If you are able to get the gallbladder back into shape, you

may eat, in moderation of course, foods which had previously given

you problems.
