Thank you for calling attention to the fact that PSSD has been added to the

Prozac product label. While this is a triumph of validation for PSSD sufferers,

at the same time Eli Lily has effectively shifted the burden of responsibility

for informing patients about the possibility of PSSD to the prescriber and

perhaps gotten themselves off the hook--- it's in the product literature so

consumers have now been warned.

This is probably a good time to sue-- to sue your prescriber if you got PSSD

from Prozac and were not warned (since the label update which occurred in late

2010 or early 2011) or to sue the manufacturers of the the other SSRI makers,

since they have not yet followed suit in listing PSSD in their product labels

and can be seen as negligent since sexual side effects are a class effect of all

the SSRIs. Eli Lilly could also be seen as negligent as they seem to have

quietly added PSSD without bringing it to attention of prescribers or consumers,

My bet is that Prozac added a PSSD warnin to the product label either in

response to a lawsuit which was settled with a gag order (otherwise we would

have learned about it in the news) or are preemptively protecting their assets

due to websites like this one. Good job PSSD community!
