But muscle tone has nothing to do with speed. Muscle tone is a state of

partial contraction. It has nothing to do with the development of your muscles

or

the ability of your muscles to contract, but only the fact that they *are*

contracted.

It sounds like your heading for something else, like stamina perhaps, or

maximizing your glycogen storage and utility.
