Inosine & increasing ATP - Dr. JM & everyone/sensitivity to light

Dr. McCandless,

Is this something that might help with visual photosensitivity? This is one

of my daughter's last major outstanding disturbances. It was not evident as

an infant or toddler but has been getting progressively worse as the years

go by. I was looking at some pictures of her with her brother from last

year taken on a cool, overcast day and she's squinting horribly. She can't

go outside and play like she used to because it's just too painful for her

eyes...even when we wait until after 5pm to walk the dog she still has to

wear dark glasses and a hat in order to tolerate that level of light.

Curtains have to be drawn in the morning while she's working at the dining

room table because of the direction of the sun yet indoor lighting does not

seem to bother her. The developmental optometrist says she has normal

pupillary response and had hoped that as some of her other visual

corrections were made that this might work itself out. Unfortunately it

hasn't even though she's progressing very well through all her VT. One of

her doctors had her try an oral cell solution as well as some homeopathics

but neither helped. He also wanted her to try a specific form of silver

pellets, but the person who produced it died and the family didn't want to

continue production so that was the end of that.

Do you have any ideas if there's any supplement that might be helpful for

this? Any other thought or ideas?

Thanks so much,

Susi

Susi: Most photosensitivity is caused by certain medications, but there are

those who are actually allergic to sunlight. Those with autoimmune

illnesses seem to be more prone, so strategies that heighten the immune

system may help. Other than avoiding those meds that may cause it and

protective measures, I personally do not know of any way to treat

photosensitivity, sorry! Dr. JM
