Guest guest
Well last time I saw dr phil on tv I see nothing about him that speaks " im healthy " I do see something that says im liable to die of a heart attack within the next 10 years. Actually if he follows these nutritionists make that 5 DR. Phil's Diet Show Today Dr. Phil's show was about dieting and how to do it " right " to keep the weight off and of course had the professional nutrition people on also. Bashed all those low carb, high protein and other fad diets that are impossible to stay with. I watched just a part of it and it was fun at least to see them go through this persons kitchen and toss out candy, cookies, chips but then they got to the proper way to eat and demonstrated with, hum, guess it was a burrito. .. Lightly spritz, and i do mean lightly spritz, a frying pan from a spray bottle of olive oil and add your small portion of 4% fat hamburger. After the beef is cooked not only drain the fat ( what fat could there be?) but then rinse beef in a colander. Add your chopped veggies and wrap in a whole wheat tortilla shell. TaDa-- a huge meal that has a whopping 4 grams of fat. Kathy A.
Guest guest
Hmmm. And they think that a low-fat diet is easy to stay with? I don't think so. My Christmas menu: (Not NT as I don't have the book.) Old fashioned hickory smoked ham. Chopped cauliflower Cole slaw (homemade) Salad of mixed organic greens - no iceberg lettuce Cranberry sauce, If I don't forget to buy the cranberries tomorrow. Mixed low starch veggies Gravy made with butter and coconut milk and thickened with cornstarch Blackberry smoothies for dessert. Made with coconut milk, blackberries and stevia. The most carbs are in the blackberries, but I only use half of the serving size listed on the package. Gives good flavor and cuts the carbs. I'd like to feed this to those " nutritionists " who say people can't stick with a low-carb diet. What are you eating for the holiday? Enjoy! ;-) Judith Alta -----Original Message----- Today Dr. Phil's show was about dieting and how to do it " right " to keep the weight off and of course had the professional nutrition people on also.
