My friend really wants me to pass this on. Sadly (though not surprisingly), that scene gets no mention on any of the boards (that discuss every other scene ad infinitum!), nor did my enthusiastic posts about it get any response. There must be some other lactivist Breaking Bad fans out there somewhere who squeed like I did! LOL

Sure. Okay: Hank and Marie are a married couple, with no kids of their own but Marie's sister has a teenager and an infant (about six months old or so). Hank and Marie are taking care of the baby (for complicated reasons I won't get into as they aren't really relevant to the scene). Hank is a cop with a sort of macho attitude, one of those people who likes to use wisecracks to hide his real feelings, but at heart he's a good guy.

On a previous episode, Marie's sister had been shown with a breast pump on her desk at work (not focussed on, just part of the set dressing). So Hank is holding the baby, who starts fussing. Marie hands him a bottle, and before Hank takes it he gives her a look and says "Hey, that better be somethin' from a boob, instead of some of that fake soy crap"; Marie replies "Yeah, yeah". Hank then follows up with "My little girl deserves the real McCoy". Pretty cool, I thought! There's really no reason plotwise for any of it except to counter the ol' "normative media portrayals of bottlefeeding".

Nope. I'm out of town moving my parents out of their house, so I'm out of the loop. Fill me in?
