I usually use L-carnitine; though A-L-Carnitine is supposed to be a better absorbed form, I have found it caused hyperactivity in some kids (and adults). Dr. JM L-Carnitine: good for low muscle tone. L-CARNITINE IS GOOD FOR PROPER > > GLUCOSE METABOLISM, AND MOST KIDS I TEST ARE DEFICIENT IN IT, ESPECIALLY > > THOSE WITH LOW MUSCLE TONE.
