The horizontal line=yin=path of ego fr birth to death n is penetrated by

vertical =yang line at moments made sacred by ritual in all faiths,

physically:bapt/brith;confirm/bar mitzvah/vis quest; marriage/;

death/funeral.These represent physical stages of unfolding.

the significant thing is at the point of intersect: a cross is formed w/a

centerpoint which transcends time/space

if u draw any cross, an invisiuble circle of spirit is implied: 4 angles of

90 deg= 360. ergo spirit is present n we are moved n affected.

this is unconscious. However, consciously, we can INVITE this at any time, in

prayer or medit or by inviting our div guest to be present in any given

moment.

alchemically, the horiz line= MOON; vertical=Sun/div guest. but the invisible

circle is the Mystery, we name SPIRIT - jung's mysterium coniuntionis.

this can only happen in incarnation n the symbol for matter=cross/.square

so your dream is MOST profound.

In the Golden Dawn Magical system, the sign of the cross is made

to the words " ATeH MaLKUTh, VeGeBURaH, VeGeDULAH, Le

OLAM, AMeN " , which is to say, more or less the well known

formula " For THINE is the KINGDOM, the POWER and the

GLORY, WORLD without end, Amen " .

The cross made to accompany this is made in the Orthodox

manner, that is to say, forehead, solar plexus/heart, right shoulder,

left shoulder and hands joined in the central column, and

corresponds to the sephiroth KeTheR ('Crown')=ATeH=Thou;

MaLKUTh('Kingdom'); GeBURaH ('Severity'); GeDULAH

('Gentleness'), OLAM ('World').

Generally speaking one will be facing toward the East when

making it.

Just for those of you who though Alice's comment was already

complex and confusing!

Alice's 'The Web in the Sea', by the way, is one of the most

accessible introductions to this fascinating and unfortunately

somewhat lost science that I have ever read. Others are Nigel

Pennick's 'Sacred Geometry' [TURNSTONE] and an amazing book

on Sufi architecture by Nader Ardelan and the extraordinary Laleh

Bakhtiar, 'The Sense of Unity: Sufi symbolisim in Persian

architecture' [uNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO]. Of course, if you can

lay hold of a copy of Vitruvius' original...

I am looking for books that link the Knights Templar to the building

of the Gothic cathedrals.  The Templars were excavating at the Temple

in the Holy Land for a 'few' years, and from what I suspect,

discovered the secrets of the Sacred Geometry of Egypt, buried in the

Temple.  With this star knowledge and their vast wealth, I suspect

the Templars were instrumental in sponsoring the Gothic Cathedrals. 

Fulcanelli, in his book, " Mysteries of the Cathedrals " makes it

abundantly clear that the churches were used for alchemy initiations

or study.  The book, " Rosslyn, " sites seven churches that were used

as planetary initiation sites.

1.  Cathedral of St. at Compostela, Spain (Moon oracle)

2.  Notre Dame de Dalbade, Toulouse, France (Mercury oracle)

3.  Orleans Cathedral (Venus oracle)

4.  Chartres Cathedral (Sun Oracle)

5.  Notre Dame de Paris (Mars Oracle)

6.  Amiens Cathedral (Jupiter Oracle)

7.  Rosslyn Chapel (Saturn oracle)

If anybody has information along these lines, please post it in this

And, when I was busy last year, I think we discussed this,

or during some times in the past, and I missed both it and

the Sacred Music threads, I had better go research the archives :-).

Mike, thank you for the Founding Fathers repost. Upon reflection,

I decided to send it to the Washington Post, the New York Times,

the President's email and the Heritage Foundation. (Ultra right-wing

" think tank " funded by the super-wealthy which provides " research "

to the politicians and funds to their campaigns. I did this last

night, with the exception of the Heritage Foundation, because

I'm not sure I want to help them with their " work. "

Just fyi, I have been lucky to discover a mole in their midst <g>!

I am, with your permission, going to post the article on the Executive

Order which was proposed on January the 3rd with respect to

authorizing assassinations, which will leave none of us safe as

zero trials are required to enact this measure.

If we do not speak up, we are guilty and culpable of aiding this

extreme environment ... and we are no better than those who did

not speak before the last serious engagement of war on this planet.

And, our current aspects, astrologically speaking, for the planet,

are not peaceful - which is a really superb bit of understatement.
