Hi!

This is just to let you all know that tomorrow we are going to Florida for

two weeks, so I won't be on e-mail and will be going no-mail on lists except

for greatgoddess and possibly JUNG-FIRE (on trust that people remember the

two posts rule there for the duration!!)

I'll be around for the rest of the day, so if you have anything to say to me

which won't wait, speak now!!

If not, Happy New Millenium, and speak to you all on my return.

<< I only have one weekend free, and am tempted to go to Agra

to see the Taj. >>

Be more than tempted, Kurt. It is the most subtle building in the world. I

have a series of six photos I took from the back of the Taj looking out over

Agra, a kind of panorama and it seems to capture a lot of the stunning vistas

of India... Upriver, a man is leading a camel over sparkling riffles, across

is an Impressionist-like spread of all kind of grasses and forbs drying in a

magnificent pattern, and downstream the red city of Agra glows like a sunset,

beneath me were black cows and a brightly-clothed Indian woman tending them.

Trip TO Agra is nice, too.

Blessings on your trip.

best,

phoebe

I hope the weather down there warms up for you.

Speaking of vacations I will be in India for two weeks on business

the latter part of the month in the Pune area (east of Mumbai aka

Bombay). If anyone has a recommendation for places to go/see,

particularly those with a spiritual/symbolic emphasis, please do let

me know. I only have one weekend free, and am tempted to go to Agra

to see the Taj.

Best wishes to everyone in the New Year.

If you're interested in Classical Indian Music, I have a friend in Pune who is a

member of a 19th. generation of a lineage of singers dating back to the time

of Akhbhar. Their lineage is known as one of the purest and most classical. I

could certainly give you their phone number and address if you liked.
