Guest guest
Dear Sally - I looked into Viscum injections a couple of years ago for a members research query. Viscum injections are well tolerated and there have been a number of clinical studies using it, but a lot of the papers have poor research methodologies, so it is difficult to get a real idea of its effectiveness. It is thought that the lectin works by inactivating ribosomes, so I understand that it is cytostatic rather than cytotoxic, this means the treatment is ongoing (years). The good thing is that it is immunostimulating, unlike orthodox chemotherapy. - wasn't (Green?) working on this? You can always ask Carol on the Research group service to do an updated search for you. Non Non Owen MNIMH Medical Herbalist Edinburgh ric.non@...
