I don't like colloidal silver, I used to think it was good but then heard lots of bad stuff (even on the cruise) don't ask me what b/c I don't remember but just remembered that I wouldn't want to use it. I also heard you can turn green or silver from too much of the stuff- I have an oral b electric but someone told me not to use electric. What's the deal with the sonicare? it uses ultrasonic to clean - very effectivley. I also like the ionic - it literally makes the plaque jump off your teeth - and is not electric at all... people turn grey - agrygaria (sp?) if the particle size of the silver it too large and this can happen if people r making their own or using bad quality ones. there are ones not that have such small particle sizes - like the nano silver that they can abrely measure it. Everything that has a front has a back, the bigger the front, the bigger the back....now where did i hear that b4? Guest guest
I love my Sonicare. My mom gave it to me for my b-day. Guest guest
Ilanit, Do you know the uses and applications for olive leaf extract? I looked on the link to the site you posted, but they are not allowed to post that information for legal issues. What is the appropriate dose? Do you think it's too yin for a vegan person? Also, for milk thistle and the liver, how is that prepared? I found the milk thistle in bulk at my healthfood store and thought about making it into a tea, but didn't want to approach that w/o some direction. Thanks,

What is the appropriate dose? depends on the person, the strength, the form - liquid or caps, the application etc there is a very good one being made in Queensland, Australia by SAFE - liquid and a capsule I would look for capsules with at least 10-20% oleuopurin. Liquids vary in how they are processed. SAFE uses a patented cold extraction in glycerin method some people with colon cancer were taking up to 100ml per day for a short time to expel the tumour which is sometimes successful - that is an enormous amount. I get diarrhea and nausea from 5ml 3 x a day. There are some schools of thought that suggest it can kill good as well as bad bacteria but this is debated. It is inadvisable to take anti bacterial etc herbs long term - including echinacea, golden seal (10 day incrememnts) etc Do you think it's too yin for a vegan person? no. not at all. Also, for milk thistle and the liver, how is that prepared? tablets or capsules seem the most reliabel form I like to buy one which has as high a silymarin - one of the potent active ingredients - as possible. Eg at least 100-150 mg per capsule or tablet - now there are stronger ones - currently I am taking one which has over 300mg of silymarin and I am taking 4 per day. I found the milk thistle in bulk at my healthfood store and thought about making it into a tea, you could take that too. Though if you are using herbs for a medicinal effect I would not buy them in bulk like that - they are usually not stored right, old etc. I would try to get them in as sealed a container as possible - here some comein paper bags ina box - one brand seals the box in cellophane and the other does not - the sealed one is sooo much fresher if you want a very reliable effect with herbs I would recommend single herb - I can't stand blends mostly - I wonder about the processing - and have ones from reliable brands - for herbs with a known medicinal active ingredient like milk thistle, gingko, olive leaf, st johns wort etc - I would take standardsied or full spectrum formulas with the amount of standardsied ingredient that has shown to be effective there are some exceptions - brand slike vogel treat their plants in a very good way but may not have this standardisation herbal teas are good as well but rely in the preparation, storage, crop etc but didn't want to approach that w/o some direction. Thanks, happy herb taking!
