Has any one ever heard of a product by the name of Coconut Foam Extract?

I have a customer that said she say it being billed out as a non toxic

substitute for SLS. I am not saying I feel SLS is toxic I am just looking

for info to help service my customers.

Thanks in advance,

Mike,

I found and read a very interesting article from the below

copied site. You may want to check it out. It does mention

many products including Coconut Foam Extract. There are

many sites referring to this. Hope this helps a little.

I have read this site in the past and this is pure unadulterated BS. This

doctor has sold their MD for the almighty$$ and is not worthy of the respect

that a healthcare professional should receive.

Only a blind person can't see the facts behind this website and the truth.

, I take it that in your professional opinion you don't agree with

what's being said about this foam . What jumps out at you the most that

leads you to your conclusion?

Mike,

The first thing is this is set up like an infomercial and not a peer

reviewed study. Infomercials are simply to sell something while a peer

reviewed study is most often for the science and not the $$. It goes

downhill from there in my opinion. BTW, most healthcare professionals are

not selling 'chemicals' but health. Then again there was the reference to

cosmetic ingredients and antifreeze. Again, this indicates a lack of facts.

I can and have produced peer-reviewed facts that contradict many of her

statements of doom and gloom for the ingredients used in personal care

products.

Several months ago someone else on the list produced a website from this

same person touting another ingredient. She certainly does not hold sway

with me.

As I read, I saw the BS too. It is a shame that we can no

longer even trust our MD's. Was a time when they were very

respected and a wonderful place for an honest answer. Sad

that even their respect is for sale. :(

Thanks,

Oh Yeah, this was the " toxic shampoo " article I posted a few months

ago. I have to agree with kevin on the pure BS. You gotta love

doctors who use technical terms such as " squish, right through the

skin " . And then she's trying to sell this " all-natural " shampoo with

no preservatives, but it does contain natural ingredients like

Germaben Oil. Bad, Bad, article... too bad that some people will

take it seriously.

So, what is coconut foam extract anyway?

The way this so-called doctor misleads people should be against the law. I

assume the Germaben oil she referes to is Germaben ll which contains the

following ingredients: GERMALLĀ® II (DIAZOLIDINYL UREA) 30% ,

METHYLPARABEN 11%, PROPYLPARABEN 3%, PROPYLENE GLYCOL 56% . It looks like

all the chemicals she is bad-mouthing is in her product.

Not only does this woman and people like her mislead people, but because of

the lies they spread, they give legitimate business in the natural field a

bad name when their lies are exposed.

I believe in and have been involved in alternative therapies for a number of

years. We have people in that field that are scare-mongers as well. We don't

need their scare-mongering. Alternative therapies can stand on their own

merrits as they have for many years. The same goes for natural or near

natural cosmetics. People want natural today, we don't need to scare them

into it. All of the big companies are going as natural as possible. What we

do need is people who will tell the truth to their customers. People that

will tell their customers that if they want a cream or lotion that they must

also accept the fact that it must be preserved synthetically. I get so tired

of fighting this bs all the time.

Now that I have had my rant for the day and have come down from my soapbox,

does anyone on this list actually know what Coconut Foam Extract is and what

it does?
