Hello Everyone, It has been a long time since i've talked on these

discussion boards, i hear Debbie is not feeling well. Greg rather

callingly: Debbie are you out there sweetheart? :). Whenever i come

on these discussion boards i feel like i'm entering a cavern and i'm

calling out to hundreds of members and the sound just echoes across

the cavern walls, lol. I try to reach out to those who are in need of

help but they're hard to see in the dim glow of the caverns dimly

lit torches and so i pick one up to help me find my way, (just like

in those zelda games just without the monsters :) ). You know i've

been feeling rather under the weather lately myself and can't quite

seem to bring myself around to getting to do the things necessary in

order to advance in life you know what i mean? But then again i

always feel i've been that way. Taking to the fact that i've never

wanted to work with my sponsor or wanted to do homework, but still.

I just can never pull myself around to do the work. It's always a

hard fought battle for me whenever it comes to working on it, for me

it's like pulling teeth. And i can't seem to figure out why that is,

but i guess in the end of it i'll find out that i just need to focus

more on what i want out of life rather than what i want to do more.

But for someone like myself who's a kid at heart all the time that's

so hard to do. I'm always so young and energetic and full of pent up

energy, i can't just sit here for hours on end doing what i call " a

bunch of nothing. " I always feel like i have to be doing something

otherwise i get bored to death, you know what i mean? If i don't

accomplish something out of my interests then what good am i? I

guess that's why i'm working for a general education/liberal arts

associates degree. So that i can have all these different areas that

i can excel in besides computers later on in life. But anyways i'm

burning brain cells typing this paper up so i'll let you go. I want

to have enough energy that i can actually read a couple pages before

i hit the sack even though it is getting late. I hope to hear from

you soon, good luck in all you do.

Signed,

Greg

as much as humanly possible within all possible time constraints and

then lives it up for the moment by reading a few pages in a book in

bed " -Greg Gumina copyright 2004

Here are some other funny quotes i found while i was writing in my

journal the other night. We may not be " mentally ill " but we are

disabled with autism :) so i got a kick out of them.

Quote of the Day :

I used to greet each morning spitting blood in the wash basin,

having the night before gnashed the inside of my mouth while

dreaming I had misplaced a comma in my writing of that day. . . .

Years later a dentist asked me if I had a history of mental illness,

because the mentally ill often exhibit the advanced molar grindings

I did.

traveling.

Greg, you need to stick around. We're all here, it's just that we

come and go at different times. Sometimes you're gone for such a

long time that you miss some really interesting discussions.

One of the things I notice is that you seem to be a member of lots

of discussion boards and you tend to bounce around between all of

them and don't stay long enough to really get into the deep

discussions.

One of the things I think was good for you is that you set up your

own board. Because once you're grounded there, you can then start

to establish those online friendships that I think you feel you're

missing. But I do wish you'd drop by here and stick around more

often. You've always got good stuff to say and we are interested in

the things you talk about.

Could it be that you're an Aspie?

:)

We don't like the mundane, Greg. Trivial stuff that can keep NTs

working with interest for the rest of their lives bores us to death.

It takes time for everyone to find out what their true interests

are, but once you find them, you will then pursue them with

avidiity, I'm sure.

Greg, on the one hand, it's about that time in your life when you

need to start thinking of where you want to go and who you want to

be, but I would encourage you to keep your mind open and follow any

old pursuit you have until you figure out what you want.

Take me for example: Throughout my life my interests went from

biology to chemistry to geology to meteorology to archeology to

anthropology to environmental science to environmentalism and now to

zoology. And I think my true interest is in preserving and

maintaining the ecology and animals that are left on earth, and

everything that came before was background exploration that caused

me to zero in on where I am now. All of that background helped

immensely, because all of it applies to my area of interest.

Then of course there was recreational activity. Writing, drawing,

painting.

Combined with my desire to be alone, I could very easily see myself

traveling the African savanah or else making my way through a

tropical rain forest tracking animals and studying them, taking

notes, sketching them for scientific purposes, writing a book about

my experiences afterwards.

Alas, I do not have a degree in that area and am too tired to go

back. It looks like I will wind up being a docent or something.

Maybe I could go to work in 's zoo?

Tom
