Guest guest
What I have learnt is that if people are gossiping nosy " s " by nature, if they don't know the truth they will fabricate something anyway, so I consider give them a really juicy bone to chew on, it's fun to sit back and watch how it unfolds. Like the chain letter thingy. Don't think telling them the truth will void the speculation, it won't, so give them something else to stir the pot with. You know when you run into someone you know, maybe young, attractive, famous, whatever, and other people will say 'do you know him?', I usually just say 'know him, I've slept with him' raise the eyebrows and then keep walking. 99% it's bull dust but I love it, it gets them going. haha. M. NEVER TELL MORE THAN YOU ARE COMFORTABLE TELLING.
Guest guest
Hey Maree, I do it at my girlfriend's salon at Concord West after hours, as it's my second job, so my 1st client would be at 5.15pm. I started up the business about 6 years ago... I love it!! An infill with no nail breaks would take about 45 mins. How much did the other lady charge you? Ronnii XXOO > > Where do you do the nails sweetie? Is it a full time thing or a second > job? Guest guest
I was thinking about you this morning as I saw Dr and asked the receptionist to say hi (and don't be nervous). You will be sitting in his surgery as I write this and I know all will go well for you. He's a nice man and a good surgeon and in 5 days time it will all begin for you. How exciting. I had fill No 9 this morning (plus have had 3 unfills) and have been banded about 18 weeks. I lost weight this week and feel I'm very close to that " spot " I'm looking for. 5 more sleeps for you - it will fly Take care and look forward to hearing how the appointment went. Guest guest
Hi Ronni - glad you survived the appointment and I believe the Hills is a good hospital too. I was done at the SAN on a Thurs which I think is the only day he operates there, so there must have been some crossed wires re the place, but glad you are still in for the same date even if different location. Yes you have done fantastically on Optifast, but personally I would go for the last supper thing on Sat or Sun - it won't kill you, but make sure you only eat the most wonderful foods (nothing just average) and try and eat things that may be a problem down the track. I gobbled lots of squid and octopus pre op as there may come a day in the near future when I won't be able to tolerate this anymore and I love it. You'll need fluids for a few days after the op, but I was on sloppy/thick soups soon after that and eating pureed solid food within about 9 days and some solids by the time I had my first fill at 4 weeks. Your butterflies are probably excitement now, but there will be a rollercoaster of emotions in the next few days - just go with the flow. I had the lovely barium meal and ultrasound done there this morning. My husband has had 2 operations at the Hills and has been very happy with the hospital on both occassions. Not long to go now! Libby Hi Cherie,Just got back to the office now!!! Your right! He is a very nice man and he explained everything. Apparently I thought I was going to the SAN Hospital but I'm going to the Hills Private instead. He did offer to do the operation at the SAN but not till 22nd June....... forget that!!! The hills will do!!! I also went to the hills and gave them my admin forms, I think reality is hitting me now!!! He said that for the 1st 3 weeks I can only have a mush diet then the 4th week I can eat what my hubby eats then I need to see him for my 1st fill. is no nice... isn't she??? She did pass on your message to say " Hi " . Oh, Cherie I'm getting butterflies....LOL I told the Doc that I had a dinner party to go to!! (But I don't) and asked if I could eat... his replay was " I won't if I was you, you've come so far on Optifast " What should I do?? I really feel like chinese!!!RonniiXXOO >> I was thinking about you this morning as I saw Dr and asked the > receptionist to say hi (and don't be nervous). Guest guest
Hi Libby, Yeah, I was there at about 12ish filling some paperwork near the main reception area. You should've come over and say 'Hi " . Your right!! Not long to go!!! It's starting to hit home, & I can't wait. How are you going on optifast? Guest guest
Ronnii I was banded at both the SAN and Hills - loved the Hills more. They are a bit more caring and there are quite a few band friendly nurses there, so you are going to be taken care of so well. Plus, they do lots of bandings there, so they are totally familiar with your requirements! Nx
Guest guest
Hi :-) I was there @ 11am, so I guess it wasn't you then! It feels so real when you hand in the paperwork doesn't it! At work, I am starting to book appointments for after the 19th and everytime I do it I think wow I'll be banded by that stage!!! Libby :-)

Guest guest
Don't forget to pack some nice comfy PJ's to climb into. How many nights are you in for? I live alone and have no family here so chose to stay 3 nights. I took in all the weekly magazines with me, New Idea, Who etc as I couldn't cope with reading a book - too heavy duty, watched telly and slept alot, sent text messages - it was a good rest. Gosh feels like a lifetime ago now .....
