Privacy of list - Not private!

Whomever felt that it was appropriate to share the comments about any company we deal with, mentioned here, has violated our privacy and our cohesiveness as a group of colleagues. It was demeaning, embarrassing and inappropriate and if you felt that your allegiance was to a vendor rather than your fellow IBCLC's, I feel both offended and violated by that sharing of private emails with the vendor. Did you feel that you were looking out for the best interests of the vendor, rather than each other? Another LC had posted about this a few weeks ago, but I could not believe that such a thing would happen Well, now it has happened to me too. So, whomever you are, realize that what you have done has made this a list to be used with caution and judgment, knowing that this subscriber, clearly has no regard for the privacy of the group or the respect of her colleagues. From my perspective, this is no longer a venue to be used to share information that you are not willing to have forwarded or posted elsewhere. If someone did this thinking they were helping, please stand up and email me privately. Remember, businesses are businesses and nothing more despite the fact that they are selling items to "help babies receive breastmilk," their sole intention to make money and nothing more. So sad.....
