Guest guest
You should get her checked to see if it is the flu. Tamiflu is an excellent antiviral agent that works. It is prescription. It will greatly shorten the duration and ease the symptoms of the flu. My son, age 9 now, took it for the flu and within 3 hours of getting the med, he was playing and acting like a kid that did not have the flu. And we know that he did have it because the doc did a nasal swab and it was positive. Suggestions for flu-like symptoms.... Hi, Aidan has fever, chills, a headache, sore throat (for the first time in her life) and achey gums, eyebrows, ankle bones and heels. I've given her oscillococcinum and glutathione nebulizer. I'm about to plunk her into an epsom salt bath. She's not up to swallowing vitamins (but we'll try if strongly recommended). Does anyone have any ideas for increasing her comfort and shortening duration of what may be the beginning of flu? Here we go... Guest guest
We use the enzymes from Houston. I don't know all of the whys of how they help, but lots of folks give extra enzymes, specifically high does of Proteases to help kind of clean up the system. If you will go to the enzymesandautism group, they can answer far better than I can. I just know they have helped my daughter. We just got over a virus of some kind with sore throat and congestion. Guest guest
She'll need fluids to keep from getting dehydrated, and if she will drink an Alacer Emergen-C (preferably the sugarless kind, and available in any health food store and even some grocery stores) a few times a day you'll get some Vitamin C as well as fluids and other electrolytes in her. It's one of my favorite things for the flu, as well as upping the Klaire Vit A drops to 3 or 4 a day (anti-viral, pro-immune) for both kids and adults. Monolaurin (or lauricidin) is good too, both as a preventive and a treatment.
