Guest guest
don't know. I don't get that kind of difinitive information. I have labs, ultra sound, and endosopy's (which i call " the dreaded procedure " because it always ends in banding == a guarantee of at least a week of discomfort) and I see the hepatologist on a 6 month basis. I saw the hepatlogist last week. They were happy with my progress on weight loss (47 \lbs since March) and my only real complaint is increasing fatigue. The consult letter the Dr. prepared was posssitive.... then they upped my meld score 2 points. In March my score was 7 which I was glad about. But two points feels like a giant leap. I'm torn between hoping I can drag this out as long as possible and just getting it over with... > > How far out are you from the transplant itself and how often > do you have to see the transplant team? >
Guest guest
The nutritionist put put me on a diet of so many carbs and so much protain and 2grams or less of salt. So it's pretty restricted. I find banding causes pain that feels a lot like very intense acid reflux disease. I don't get nauseated because I can get anything down without a lot of pain...so i drink liquids (whichstill cause spasms but releave hunger) > > When they do this banding of the varies, do you > get nauseated with it? Guest guest
Just figured there was some confusion. > > I have to apologize to you. I tend to get people mixed up > here at times. I thought you had the liver transplant already. > Then I reread your post that said you were waiting on the list. > I will have to go back and double check myself. It is Pat > who had the transplant.
