Guest guest
Dear , Sounds like things are going very well for ! I am so happy to hear that. I can use all the positive stories about schooling that I can get right about now. I think I am losing faith that I can make the transition when the time comes, so thanks for sharing your story. One problem, it is certainly a bit cruel as I sit here in Pennsylvania, USA to talk about riding a bike. The wind is blowing hard this evening as we brace ourselves for 2-3 inches of snow overnight! The temperature at the bus stop this morning was 6 degrees F. BRRRRR! I am sick of the hats, the gloves, the coats, the messy winter shoes and boots at the door, and I would like to come to your house and " hoon " down the footpath with ! Guest guest
LOL, Barb, there is certainly a big difference then, i just did a conversion, and it works out to be about 104degs F here at the moment. And we are just about to go from kindly " please " water restrictions, to " if you don't you're fined " water restrictions for the entire NSW and possibly more states. We are in such a major drought. Send some snow to melt here. lol. finished his first week of kindergarten today. This morning he also did the sad face, but was fine after I left. (I checked him out through the window) He has done some lovely drawings so far, and from the first day to today, he has already fixed up his back to front s and c's for his name. It was also quite a thrill when heading to his classroom to have another little boy yell out " Hi " . When i said to him scott wasnt happy about coming to class, he said " i'll come with him " . It was so lovely. Anyway, must go, starts tiny tots dancing in the morning. She is ever so excited!!!! in Aus, mum to 5mds, and 3 > Dear , > Sounds like things are going very well for ! Guest guest
...if you've got that DS specialist.. you're WAY ahead of the game~~ I have yet to have a pediatrician for who takes anything about his Down's seriously because he's mosaic. I wish we had a specialist with our HMO! HMPH!!!! Angel
Guest guest
He was screaming, it is not really a happy scream and it is not really an angry scream, it is just a little bit of I am annoyed, so change my scenery before I get really mad. Caden does the all over body shake also, she said she was going to ask the OT or PT in the office--so I will be interested to see if they say anything. Thanks for your response! Guest guest
Angel, Ya I am not too worried about it, my daycare providers son has tourettes and he punches out, so when he was little they put him into Karate because they thought he just liked to punch the air! LOL That was before they knew his dx. I do have that list, but mine is a hard copy, so I cannot pass it along to the others. Caden also sees a DS specialist at Minneapolis Children's Hospital every 6 mos. If anyone of you have the oppurtunity to see a DS specialist I would do it. He runs all the mandatory tests and even some extra ones. He wrote a letter to my pediatrician about the tests that he wants ran and my ped didn't do them, so he did them and then wrote him another letter telling him again. We will see if he can read this time. The funny thing is my ped tried to tell me that wasn't what the letter said and I pulled out my 3 ring binder and said oh-yes it does. I think he was in shock that I had a 3 ring binder with me!! LOL I got a good chuckle, but I told him we would just have the DS doctor do the test. Thanks for the info!!
