to that little voice!

You won't find support for getting implants here, but

you'll find a lot of reasons to be thankful for what

God gave you! . . . Please take the time to read

through the archives. It will be the best time you

I was in your shoes a few weeks ago myself. I joined this list because I had an April 26 surgery date — talk about coincidence! After reading the posts on this list for one day, I was convinced that breast implants would be a huge mistake. Hang around for a few days and read about the pain and misery implants have caused the women on this list. Several have lost their health, their lives as they once knew them, family members and even friends. The most sad is when it sounds like a woman has lost hope. I once thought if the implants gave me problems I could simply have them removed. As you will learn, that doesn’t always bring a return of health and never without a lot of hard work.

If you stay here a while, you will quickly learn the reason you didn’t get implants. I have a new appreciation for my body, thanks to the women here.

My sister and I are wanting BA. We were supposed to have had it done

on the 26th of April. There were extra charges so we had to postpone

until May 19. We think there is a reason that we didn't get it done.

Like something was telling us not to. If anyone can shed some light, I

would greatly appreciate it.

Oh My: My twin sister was going to do it also after I had it done..she

was jealous of my new look and wanted it for herself as well. Well let

me tell you who's jealous now. I am envious everyday that she doesn't

have these poison bags in her body. We are identical twins (29 years

old) but I feel more than twice my age. I have been diagnosed with a

very serious autoimmune disease and have spent thousands on these

breasts; only to be having them removed (at thousands more) tomorrow.

Don't do it...at best you will have 10 years before you have another

surgery either to replace or explant. You will miss your soft all

natural shape (even if you are flatter than flat, like me) You will

wish you could sleep on your stomach, work out your chest muscles and

second-guess every twinge and muscle ache you have. I was the absolute

picture of health before this..and now I may have a lifelong condition

to medicate daily. I wish everyday that I had listened to that little

voice inside me that was telling me the same things that yours is

telling you. Lately, I have had to pray that the signs would be there

to help me with explant and moreso that I would be given the power to

see those signs. Well they are here and I better listen...I hope you do

What is the auto-immune disease you have, is it hashimotos? Do you

think there is a possibility that the disease could disappear

post-explant? I am hoping my thyroid problem and dry eyes will

disappear, and believe me, no one could be flatter than me so I am a

bit concerned how I will look as well, especially at my age....Do you

have saline or silicone?

Well, I have been diagnosed with severe rheumatoid arthritis (at 29)

and also have some symptoms of Sjogrens (dry mouth) syndrome. I think

it is more than coincidence that my symptoms began 8 months to the

day of my augmentation. I hope and pray and really feel my symptoms

will regress. Especially since I have an identical twin (same DNA)

that does not have any autoimmune problems. BTW I have smooth, saline

under the muscle...but have only had them in for 14 months, so

hopefully the explant will go well. I will be in touch,

-, I would like to ask what were your antibodies before explant,

did you contract hashimotos after implant, what are your antibodies

now, and do you think you can go off the thyroid meds then?? I

contracted hashis 3-4 yrs post implant, and my antibodies keep

shooting up. My implants per-se have not given me problem, they are

soft, very small, but I feel they are reason for my hashis, dry eyes,

etc. I don't have joint pains (yet), but am planning explant in June

but very nervous because have very thin breast tissue and breasts

very very small and afraid of looking deformed, so hope this will be

worth it...anyway, my dream is of eliminating my antibodies, and I

would hope that maybe eventually to go off thyroid meds. Anyway, hope

My thyroid condition came up in my 7th year of having implants. Before i was explant. The antibodies continued to shoot up until explant. They were for the last year, 12,000 (its not a misprint, the docs were like wow! I had alot of attacking going on there ) thyroglobulin antibodies, and 1100 thyroid peroxidase antibodies before explant, and a month after explant they went to 90 and 70 for the later. They are now around 20. My goiter shrank and the noduels I had that were lage in size, are now almost gone.

I am currently on cytomel and levoxyl, however since looking into more helaing remedies, And finding I have gluten intolerance or celaic disease, and eliminated the food, I have been lowered to half my meds. I tell all thyroid patients that celiac is linked with triggering thyroid disease , RA, and diabetes the most ,and to get screened. 97% of americans do not know they have it. And eliminating the food can make you well. I believe the implants triggered my immunity to become hyper and overreactive, and caused many upheavals in my body I have steadily gotten better since explant. Most girls do. Detox and holisitc approaches are most recommended , explant 1st, then deal with the chaos they left behind is my motto. Love you!
