Guest guest
Hello, ladies! I know I rarely post, but I read every every one! I just wanted to let you all know that I am expecting baby #4 in July. I have been continuously nursing for the past 7 years and 4 months, through each additional pregnancy. I will miss out on the ILCA this year, which is I was really hoping to attend. Next year, I will be there. I have two genetic predispositions for bleeding/clotting issues, as many women do (45% of us have one of the genes and 25% have the other-go figure; unless you look for these things, you'd never know!) I only seem to have a problem with moderate bleeding post birth. I have never had problems with clots, thank goodness! Our 2nd son died at 35 weeks, he was stillborn either due to the possible bleeding issue (no evidence) or an umbilical cord accident where it attaches to the placenta. So, we watched my 3rd pregnancy closely and are doing much the same, though a bit more relaxed this time around. I am not considered high-risk for birth. I was given permission to birth wherever I want to. Yay! Luckily, my CNMs at the hospital where I birthed the last two are my personal friends, and they are willing to leave me alone if I birth in the hospital again. The hope is, though, that I birth at home instead with no pitocin anywhere near me! So, we are 14 weeks now and I just started to feel baby move last night! We will not know the gender until baby arrives. Your thoughts, prayers, and positive energy are all welcome during this time. And, my thanks to all who post interesting information and teach me every day. I love that I have been doing this for 12 years and learn something new all the time. This is a great group! Happy Thursday to all!
