Can you just tell me how soon after implants you contracted hashis,

and do you recall what your antibodies were pre-explant? Thanks very

much....

Got implants May 1997.

Explanted Feb 1998. sick, sick, sick

Diagnosed with Hashimoto's August 2002.

Anti-TPO antibodies were 7.9 on a normal scale of 0.0 to 2.0. The

following month (Sept 2002) it was 8.2

August 2003 antibodies were 50.5

December 2003 antibodies were > 70

(Hmmm......that doesn't look very good I guess!)

Took Armour thyroid and cytomel for about a year, then gradually

stopped taking all hormones.

Guess I really do need to get it checked and see what the scoop is.

But I feel great!

Oh, well your case doesn't seem bad, I was implanted 98, dx'd hashis

in 02, my antibodies at first were around 600 and have gone up up up

and are now last reading (feb) 5300!!! I still have implants,

hopefully on explant will see some results. You contracted hashis

after explant, and then your antibodies just disappeared. Maybe I

should try armour??
