Guest guest
I am so excited---I just made butter for the first time! It was so easy too! I didn't use a food processor either--just shook the cream up in a Nalgene bottle for 15 minutes. Makes me want a cow! I also just got the Russian sourdough culture, so I can't wait to get that started too!
Guest guest
hey, i made some butter and am wondering where i shoudl store it?? thanks. I buy raw homemade unsalted butter at a local raw dairy farm. She stores both her yogurt and butter in a refrigerator in her barn after she makes it. It takes me forever to go through a pound of butter. I have put a container of it in the refrigerator for a week, then left it on the counter for 3 or 4 days, then it goes back in the fridge for another week, back on the counter for another couple days. lol! I can honestly say it is still fine and this stuff has no coloring, preservatives, etc. in it. It seems to hold up well no matter how much I abuse it!
