Guest guest
you can change your viewing options to exclude preview, and then delete all files straight which carry a fwd, re, etc with an attached file.. There will always sit an attachment on those files anyhow, the virus needs it, it doesn't come on mails without attachment- so no panic!. I had some 10 mails with virusses from allover the world, and now I always ask back to the sender if he really sent an attached file if he/she sent anything important, they should resent with a certain subject line.. Another way to prevent your computer to send out virus to everyone on your telephonelist according to McIntyre is: 'An easy way to prevent your computer sending out viruses to all members of your address book is to put into your address book the number 0000 as an address and nothing else. This will be filed as your first address and then if a virus tries to send out your addresses it will fail and you will get a message that one of your addresses is incomplete.' I suppose its ok with that I post his advise here.. Janina >Dear fellow herbalists! > >For those ho have not been warned, a new virus called W32.BadTrans.B@MM is >doing its Christmas rounds. Guest guest
The last two characters of the web address for the VIRUS FIX were dropped, so in case you did not get through before try again. Here it is http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.badtrans.bmm (DOT) ht ml s Syrimis PS As it is a long address you can retype it making sure that the last file name at the end is w32.badtrans.b@...
