Husband was pretty impressed with the cabbage carrot mixture!

So I put by another crock of cabbage. I don't yet have any piima or

kefir whey, so I added a little live culture yogurt, about a

tablespoon.

I'm glad you told me that the kraut will spoil if it's left at room

temperature too long. That was my intuition, too.

Does a larger crock (maybe 2-3 quarts) need to stay out longer?

I'm trying beets next. Does anyone have a recipe for pickled

mushrooms?

I'm also searching for a kombucha starter. Does anyone on this

list ferment kombucha?
