Guest guest
I would really appreciate any advice at all here. My friend is having to have an abortion. She has to wait 3 months for the procedure, she lives miles away and I feel so helpless. What the hell can I do to help her through this? Anyone know any good books/counselling services or anything, anything at all? Hayley x --------------------------------- ALL-NEW Yahoo! Guest guest
Hi, What an awful situation! Why on earth wait three months!!!! Isn´t it possible to get help some other way, private health insurance etc? It´s definately worth some money as the impact on the body of a late abortion is huge and the psychological stress is too huge for anyone to endure. Rose and scutellaria by the gallon I suppose... Contact me on my private mail christina@... Yours sincerely, Harvidsson abortion > > I would really appreciate any advice at all here. My friend is having to have an abortion. Guest guest
Dear Hayley If you are there on the end of the phone, you are already doing lots. Don't feel helpless, as a good friend is worth their weight in gold, even if it seems all you can do is to listen. She should be able to access pre-post abortion counselling through the clinic/hospital which performs the procedure. It may be worth contacting SANDS (stillbirth and neonatal death society) if it's a therapeutic abortion (ie performed because of risk to mother or baby), or maybe even if not; I'm not too sure about that. Sorry, don't know contact number, try yellow pages or local health visitor/doctor/midwife. Herbs to support healing, liver, suppress lactation, and good old val and scut, followed by attention to menstrual cycle, all will help. Guest guest
Dear all, Thankyou so much for your responses to my query. Things are calming down a bit now, as everyone is getting used to the news. She now doesn't have to wait quite as long as she was previously told for the 'procedure', which helps a llittle. Thanks again, I really appreciate all your advice Love Hayley Jim + Alison Morton wrote: Dear Hayley If you are there on the end of the phone, you are already doing lots.
