I HAVE A QUESTION HAS ANYONE EVER LOOKED INTO IF ANYONE ELSE WITH OTHER SILICONE IMPLANTS SUCH AS CHIN IMPLANTS OR PENIS IMPLANTS OR HEART STINTS EVER BEEN STUDIED TO SEE IF THEY HAVE SIMILAR PROBLEMS I HAVE HAD SILICONE IMPLANTS SINCE DEC 2003 AFTER BREAST CANCER NAD HAVE BEEN SICK SINCE MRI'S (FOR AS GOOD AS THEY MIGHT BE) SHOW NO LEAK MAYO CLINIC EVEN DENIED TO LOOK INTO SILICONE ALLERGIES BECAUSE THEY WERE IN THE STUDY BUT I WAS JUST WONDERING IF ANY NORMAL PEOPLE HAVE THESE PROBLEMS NO ONE ONCE TO THINK WE HAVE THESE SYPTOMS FROM SILICONE!!!!

The Dow Settlement also includes categories for other implants like chin implants for example. Yes, but they did not fund other implants. They included them with no funding.

I keep praying that God will have a fit punishment for

the people behind this! . . .

I only hope it isn't their child, wife, mother, sister

or daughter who has to suffer for their greed!

Ilena,

These articles date from 1992.

Who would have thought we would still be battling the

same issues at this point in time? Thirteen years

later?

To me, it proves that we can't trust the government,

industry, or doctors.

We must take responibility for our own health, and

hope others learn the truth before they lose

everything!

Other people do have some of the illnesses we have . .

.. but, unless they have been exposed to toxic

substances, I don't believe others have the multiple,

complex symptoms we have.

Usually the disease we have mimic the other diseases.

But when testing is done, the diseases we have don't

quite fit the profile. They are nevertheless painful

and disabling.

What's more, most women get much better following

explant. Others with the " real " diseases don't get

better.

You are sooooo right! . . .

IMHO, one reason the medical profession has fought

against acknowledging the problems associated with

breast implants is because they know that when breast

implants fall, a host of other devices will be right

behind.

Best to first get tort reform laws in place so big

business doesn't get stuck with lawsuits! Don't want

any greedy patients taking the blood money away from

the real criminals!

In all fairness . . . Most implants save a function,

or a life. . . AND they are implanted later in life. I

see no problem with life or function saving implant -

As long as the patient is fully advised of the

potential for problems.

I read an article last year about McGhan which is now a different name, but the

daughter of the CEO got the same kind of implants I had the double lumen and the

same year. She was diagnosed with MS a few years back and she said that it was

definately NOT from the implants because she beleived her father would never do

that to her. Do you beleive it??? her father is still telling her they are safe

and she still has them in?? What people will do for greed, I think they convince

themselves they are safe because they can't bear the thought of injuring so many

people or maybe not. Maybe they don't want to know. They have built their whole

lives around making money from them and don't want to change or admit they're

wrong. What goes around comes around.

What people do for greed is unimaginable! I'm sorry to

hear the CEO's daughter has been affected too . . . I

wonder if her father ever questions his part in this?

Or is he still in denial? . . .

Somebody from Inamed is probably reading this right

now, thinking it could never happen to their family

because THEIR implants are safe. WRONG!
