Guest guest
That's fantastic news Dawn!!! > > Hi Everybody, > > For those contemplating getting implants out.... I am happy to report that I am now 3 weeks post explant and in this short amount of time I have already seen miraculous changes. > > For the past year prior to getting implants out I was forced to quit going to the gym, which was something I had very much enjoyed for 14 years. I had to quit because of the pain I experienced in muscles and joints that was exacerbated by walking, running, lifting weights, etc. > > I also had little energy to do anything at all and little motivation. > > I was plagued by low grade depression that caused me to withdraw from everyone. > > Prior to explant I had been doing a serious anti fungal regimen for two years with intermittent success.. but the candida always came back with a vengeance. I started up the anti fungal treatment heavily prior to explant to get a head start. > > I have been sitting in the sauna for the past week. I have had 2 h2o2 IV's so far... Have been taking high dose Vit. C.. Milk Thistle, etc. > > Anyway, the low grade depression is absolutely gone. I am working out to 100% of my previous capacity (shockingly!), I am back to jogging 4 miles per day, lifting weights, etc. I NO LONGER HAVE PAIN after working out or in general... it has absolutely disappeared. > > I still have hair loss which can be attributed to the recent surgery also. I am also still on thyroid meds. Don't know if I will be able to kick the thyroid meds fully.... have been reading about instances where women have had major toxic exposures to other things and have been left with a bum thyroid for the rest of their lives.. but if all the other symptoms abate.. the thyroid thing wouldn't be as bad. > > So, have hope... > > Hugs, > > Dawn > > > --------------------------------- > > Stay connected, organized, and protected. Guest guest
Thanks for reporting about life post-op! It really helps those of us who haven't yet had our explant. > > Hi Everybody, > > For those contemplating getting implants out.... Guest guest
Hi Dawn, I wanted to ask you if you see more hairloss following explant? I am a bit concerned about that as well. > > Hi Everybody, > > For those contemplating getting implants out.... Guest guest
Hi , Well, I kind of do see more hair loss, but I know it's temporary. I had this same type of hair loss after I had both of my daughters and also after BA. It's just something that I have to live with right now, but I am trying to really not pay too much attention to it because I know what it is from. I have seen such dramatic improvement in my symptoms in just 3 weeks that I am not overly concerned about the hair because I am now 100% convinced that the loss was from the implants and it will likely go away as other symptoms do too. You are doing the absolute right thing by explanting, I know it's virtually impossible, but please try not to worry too much about what happens with your hair AFTER surgery. Your body will likely thank you handsomely for getting those implants out.
