Guest guest
Hi Maree, It's me...Ronnii, I've been here just reading everyone's posts. Been OKish... very nervous about my operation (13 days to go), so I suppose I'm just dealing with that, so I keep under the radar. It's really hard for me to put what I'm thinking in words, that's a first for me, I bloody talk 100 miles and hour .....hehehe. Ronnii XXOO > > Where are you Ronnii, I haven't noticed any posts from you since you > were a bit upset last week. Is everything okay with you? Let us know > if we can help you with anything. Guest guest
Hey Ronnii, I can relate hun' , I can so relate. Don't forget the 2 cups of safe vegies though, the diet jelly, and I've been having a Ribena light with soda water, some Sprite zero, and have discovered that Bundaberg ginger make a diet version of their ginger cordial, so that goes down with some benefibre and soda water nicely.... Pyretta told me about celery and salsa, for another snack, and my dietician yesterday said a little carrot is OK. I'm a bloody rabbit! I've just outdone myself- I've oven baked 4 circles of eggplant (with cooking spray on both sides), and have alternately layered it with a couple of canned, drained asparagus spears, and some of my vegie casserole blended into a puree, assembled lasagna style....it looks so professional - that Food Porn TV is paying off! Keep a pack of Tic-tacs/Eclipse mints or Listerine strips handy, for when you feel the ketosis/ metallic taste kicking in. The hunger does go (a little), although I was still ravenous yesterday- my dietician said I should be over it by now (yup Mel, another celery stick dietician), but when she saw that I was quite Insulin Resistant in my blood-work results, she said that it sometimes takes IR people longer to stop getting the hollow hungries. She also suggested some extra low-carb protein powder in my shake might help - but I am yet to track down some Beneprotein - she said the only way you can get it is you buy it by the case. Otherwise, just keep busy!!!! Hugs, (ashbury)
Guest guest
Where do you do the nails sweetie? Is it a full time thing or a second job? I am just wondering if I could work out something suitable as I had them done regularly each fortnight but it became costly and a chore every other Thursday night. And she talked and talked, a great girl but it would end up 21/2 hours. Too long. I had another Lady but she was so rough she used to file half my surrounding skin away, ouch! M. Guest guest
Sorry to bother you again . When you said 'band friendly nurses', is this an issue that some aren't? Libby :-) Ronnii I was banded at both the SAN and Hills - loved the Hills more. They are a bit more caring and there are quite a few band friendly nurses there, so you are going to be taken care of so well. Plus, they do lots of bandings there, so they are totally familiar with your requirements! Nx
Guest guest
Hi , I hope their nice to me cause I just found out the Warren's boss won't give him the day off. That means, he can only drop me off and be there after work. I'm so guttered as I won't had anyone there to say " Bye " to me before the op or " Hi " to me after the op... it really sucks (sorry about the word). Guest guest
That is awful Ronnii! Maybe hubby can develop an 'illness' on the day of your surgery. I'm more than willing to pop my head in if you feel like company. Libby :-) PS My boss has alreay asked if he can courier work out to me two day's after surgery! Guest guest
Ronnii what time is the op? In the morning, you'll be so busy with the pre-admission stuff and believe me when you wake up you will be dopey and won't feel much like socialising, so by the time your hubby arrives after work, you will be ready to see him. Don't be sad he can't be there as the day will be a bit of a blur anyway. Just hint he needs to arrive with flowers when he does finally show to make up for his absence (he he).... Guest guest
That is sad, but you are a big strong and brave girl... don't worry about having no-one to see you into theatre. In all honesty they start prepping you etc once you arrive so it's a bit of a gap when you say good bye and then are wheeled into theatre. Plus in recovery you are a bit out of it anyway, hardly sitting up in bed cracking jokes. So by the time hubby arrives you will with it and having a cognitive convo.
