For interest .

There is a student group with a speaker with the subject matter being Male &

Female fertility on the 29 th of November.

I've treated this with some success, with a mixture of a,

Smilax, Panax, and a Chinese herb called Epimedium sagittatum or Yin

Yang Huo - otherwise known as Horny Goat Weed (true, honestly). One

patient quadrupled his sperm count after three months...

Hope this helps.

It actually makes you blind. This stuff is being flogged heavily already as

an aphrodisiac. Even bodybuilders are using it for it's 'testosterone like

effect'. It's everywhere. How come no-one has seen it?

I think about a couple of years ago, Hedley, who I think has left the

list now, suggested that there was a traditional reference somewhere for the

use of Datura for sustaining male sexual activity.

Can anyone throw any more light on that ??

Hi all, could anyone provide me with the e-mail of Mara Baughman or could her,

if she's on the list, contact me ASAP?

Many thanks

Yin Yang Huo amusingly has another name Xiang Ling Pi in Chinese

Pharmacopoeias which is preferred in Chinese hospitals because Yin Yang Huo

is the folk name for the herb and the doctors find it rather embarrassing!

It grows well here in England as a garden plant.

Most Chinese herbs except for tonics have never been tinctured and so we

need to take care if we use tinctures of previously untinctured herbs as

this can change the chemistry of the medicine that the patient gets. I

gather that Bai Xian Pi (Dictamnus dasycarpus) caused raised liver enzymes

when it was given as a tincture during a trial to treat psoriasis in a

London hospital. This effect was not noted when it was given by decoction.
