Guest guest
Hello listmates, Back in March of this year there were a number of posts regarding a particularly " stinky " lot of Authia. As luck would have it, the first batch we ordered had this lot number--and we decided to hold off on using it after just a couple of tries. Recently I took it out of the refrigerator to give it another go, and it is as pungent as ever. Can anyone tell me if they were able to get later lots that were not quite as odorous? If so, where did you order it from? I don't want to re-order and get stuck with old inventory/same lot number if the smell issue has been resolved. Thanks. Guest guest
I must have missed the March posts, but could you share what your lot number is? Thanks, Michele > > Hello listmates, > Back in March of this year there were a number of posts regarding a > particularly " stinky " lot of Authia. Guest guest
Michele: I took a quick look at the archives and it appears that a number of people were wondering the same thing. Apparently Westlake did have an analysis done on the lot and it came back certified as being the same as previous lots. Perhaps someone who was a bit more involved in the discussion back then could add additional perspective. Importantly, I'd love to know if anyone is using different lot numbers that have been manufactured since the " stinky " lot, and, if so, have subsquent lots been less offensive? Thanks. Guest guest
I knew it! I've got the same lot number; and I've found it almost unbearable to use (this was my first tube). Just out of curiosity, are there any people with lot numbers other than 309345 who don't think it smells too bad? Rhonda
