Guest guest
Hi guys, Lots of great info. here! I have my appt. with my new doctor today, Dr. Scumpia. Hopefully, she'll give me some good advice on treating this enlarged goiter. I'm trying to think of questions to ask her, but at this point, my mind is a blank (happens a lot! LOL!) I like to ask questions while I'm there, because it's insane to try to call back later and talk to anyone. My appt. is at 1:00 this afternoon. I made the realization yesterday that I've always thought I was hypo, but I'm VERY hot all the time. As in sweating hot. Yes, it might be a menopausal thang, but my feet are also cold. And yes, it's been over 100-degrees here, but I've been inside. AND my heart rate has speeded up a lot lately, as has my pulse. So.........I'm wondering if I'm really hypo at all? I have all the other symptoms and then some. Oh well, I'm getting anxious about the doctor visit. More later! Bobbi C.
Guest guest
Hashimoto's thyroiditis has a tendency to do this backwards, which-way-is-up thing, I believe. When I was first diagnosed, I was NOT overeweight, and was hot as _ell all the time, but I had all the other symptoms of hypo. If you'd been a mouse in a corner, you'd have thought the opposite----hyper. And at that time, I wouldn't have had much doubt that i was doing "rapid cycling" on this. I think that there are many individual factors that come into play there. At this time, and for the past two years, I'm extremely cold all the time, a little more overweight in the wrong places, more sluggish, and have much more brain fog than what I started out with. A realization......... Hi guys,Lots of great info. here!I have my appt. with my new doctor today, Dr. Scumpia. Hopefully, she'llgive me some good advice on treating this enlarged goiter.
