Guest guest
Ah Yes, Sandy! Looks like you are hypo at this point Hugs, Feisty I have a question.....cuz I'm severely confused LOL Has anybody ever started out as HyperT? And if you did, and started taking ATD's, did you ever go hypoT because your thyroid just finally wore itself out? I remember my dr telling me that I would most likely go hypoT from my hyperT/Graves. He did mention that there is a small percentage of people who do go into remission. I'm hoping to be one of them, but if not, then I'll just deal with it. My main concern now is how high is the incidence that I could go hypoT/Graves, and since I've been overmedicated, and my #'s did go hypo, is there any guarantee as to what I'll end up, or is it just a winner takes all situation? I was looking at my last TSH which was done in June of 03 and my TSH was up from the month before in May when I also had a test done and was in the process of having my meds lowered. I'm gonna post them just for fun to see if anybody has any suggestions on what is going on, and am I hypo at this point. I'm really confused, and a little bit brain dead! lol 3/13/03 reduced from 30 mgs of Methimazole to 20 mgs. TSH 4.47 0.350- 5.500 FT3 159 85 - 205 FT4 0.86 0.61 - 1.76 5/14/03 reduced from 20 mgs of Methimazole to 10 mgs. TSH 3.350 0.350 - 5.500 FT3 FT4 1.03 0.61 - 1.76 6/16/03 reduced from 10 mgs of Methimazole to 5 mgs. TSH 5.481 0.350 - 5.500 FT3 FT4 1.06 0.61 - 1.76 Next appt is on Sept 9th Any insight to bring me out of confusion would be greatly appreciated. :-) Sandy~Houston
Guest guest
These tests look like you're going into a hypo state for sure, with an awful low T4. And what happened to the Free T3 test on the last two times you did labs? That's very important. Do you have goiter or nodules, Hashimotos, Graves? I have a question.....cuz I'm severely confused LOL Has anybody ever started out as HyperT? Guest guest
Hi , I was orginally diagnosed with Graves/HyperT. My T3 was 364 when I was first diagnosed and the rate should have fell between 60 - 181. I was way out there in symptoms too! lol I know they ran a T3 in June, but it takes longer to get the results back, so I'll have to wait till i get in for the Sept. visit to get copies. I go to Kelsey Seybold and they have to request the file which is not stored on the same floor as the DR. I've already had to call them once this week so I decided not to test the nurses since they're real busy. I'm actually giving them a break cuz when I go in they hear plenty! lol :-) Original Message: ----------------- From: marin@...
