Dear Rogene,

I have had an awful few days and need some advise.

First I was watching television and I suddenly lost the sight in my right eye, I just had this line going through it, I was so scared, I went up stairs walked around on my own as I didn't want the kids to know anything was wrong and it just went after a short while, any idea what this was.

The next night I went to bed and was woken up about 5.30 am with really weird pains in both my legs the lower half, something else I have never had before. My eye sight seems to be going weird I have had an eye test that was fine but I get times when I just cannot focus properly its really disconcerting, things seem blured but not I cannot really explain it.

I don't understand the increase in my symptoms its seven years since my explant, I had a period when I seemed quite well but things seem to be getting worse.

I have read a study by Shanklin who said women can have a period of remission but can get worse, this is worrying me.

Any advise please

Thank you for the reply it just seems strange that these are all new symptoms to me and that they have started so long after explant.

Dearest Sue:

I will interject my answers into your note below....in red.

Honey, I had so many problems with my eyes too. I had Glaucoma, but it has gone. Eye problems are very common in women who have had breast implants. These symptoms are frightening, but they will go away. My vision seems to get worse at night!

The next night I went to bed and was woken up about 5.30 am with really weird pains in both my legs the lower half, something else I have never had before.

This is something that I have when I first go to bed,and I just have to suffer until I fall asleep. In the morning, it is usually gone. My big problem is that, when I sit for long periods, I have a difficult time walking. This gets better when I walk around for a while. I too have a new symptom: I'm freezing to death, and we have to turn the heat on or I literally shake all over. This is weird for me because I was so hot all the time...we have no idea what is causing me to be so cold. Just after I was explanted, would have to hold me very tightly because I would get these shaking spells. The heat has always been my enemy, and it still is if we go to someone's home I always turn bright red.

My eye sight seems to be going weird I have had an eye test that was fine but I get times when I just cannot focus properly its really disconcerting, things seem blured but not I cannot really explain it.

My eyes have been a major problem, and I still get constant eye infections. Sometimes I get a small cyst in the corner of my eye. Please do not worry, because this poison takes years to get out of our systems.

I don't understand the increase in my symptoms its seven years since my explant, I had a period when I seemed quite well but things seem to be getting worse.

I have read a study by Shanklin who said women can have a period of remission but can get worse, this is worrying me.

My advice is to ask us for help when you are worried about anything. We have been through all of this, and we will survive with lots of love and support.

Any advise please

Sue

love you...Lea

Hi Sue, I can tell you that one of the ways used to diagnose neurotoxic illness is through a visual constrat sensitivity test. One of the hallmarks of toxicity is visual problems. So I would say the answer is to detox, detox, detox. Of course you should get your eyes checked to rule out anything else. My son has had problems such as the entire center of his vision has gone black and he doesn't see colors right even though his vision test for color blindedness came out fine. Sue,

You probably need to have your eyes checked by a

specialist.

My vision fluctuates consideably. I haven't been

tested lately (need to) . . . but the last several

times I had my eyes tested for glasses, by the time

the prescription was ready, my eyes had changed. By

the time they made a new pair, same story! First I

thought it was the eyeglass place not doing the job

right . . . Finally I realized it was me!

I keep several pair of " drug store " glasses handy.

Regarding your other symptoms, you are probably

stirring up toxins in the process of detoxing. This is

normal . . . don't quit detoxing. . . just do whatever

you can to get them flushed out of your body as

quickly as possible. Drinking pure water and sweating

is great! Since you've been storing the toxins so

long, you probably have some nerves damaged. Nerves do

repair, but they take time. Not fun! . . . but you'll

get there.

Are you keeping a journal of your healing journey?

That can help you when the bad times come along . . .

When you see how far you're coming, these flares won't

be a frightening!

Love,

Rogene

I have kept a journal, this is so valuable because it will give you hope.

When I look back I cannot believe what has happened to me. My doctors claim

that I'm a walking Miracle.

Dow/BMS has failed to kill me. Dr. Blais said that they will go down before

me, because they will self-destruct.

Love to all....Lea

Dearest Sue:

I was explanted in 1992/93 and now I have this cold syndrome. I do use a heating pad for comfort, but my daughter tells me that they are dangerous. Something to do with the electric powers that could be harmful to my health!

Kenda might know something about this, she is very knowledgeable about things like this. My daughter is an environmentalist, she frightens me when she comes to our home because she reads all the labels on our food. We love her so much and she knows we love to see her try to cause a problem...that is what she does. She has four little girls and they are just like her...look out.

Love you...Lea

Hi Lea,

I don’t know much. What she is likely talking about is the electromagnetic field caused by all electric appliances. Some believe they are harmful and you should not sleep near anything electric like an electric blanket, heating pad or clock/radio. I’m sure there is something to it but I don’t know what. I don’t sleep with a electric blanket because of it.

If a heating pad helps, I’d use it when you need it. You need to be able to live your life. If we cut out everything that could be toxic, there wouldn’t be anything left.

Dear sue

that must have been scary for you. I was wondering if you have been

detoxing or been doing anything different or new that might have

precipitated these weird symptoms. I know that for years I had

gotten weird eye symptoms with fms--alot of blurry symptoms,

sometimes almost like double vision, times when I was reading a book

and the page would go dark. I went to my eye doctor and she thought

they were all focusing problems and was not concerned. I think I

have even felt like I lost sight in my one eye before but it wasn't

for but a minute at most. this has been some years ago. I still

get some weird eye symptoms on and off--mostly off. When I do, they

are hard to explain. Kind of like a not seeing clearly. Also, my

father had his eyes sight just go out on him one morning after

eating pancakes. It lasted a few minutes. It shook him up pretty

bad. He thought he might be having a stroke. NOthing ever turned

up. He finally decided that his blood sugar must have dropped low

from all the sugar and that caused it. Do you get migraines? Some

auras are weird eye symptoms. I had one once and all Icould see was

some weird spots--the rest of my vision was gone. Then I got a

terrible migraine. Some people have the aura and never get the

headache. So there are alot of reasons you could have gotten the

loss of vision. I think you should definitely follow up on it

though. It can be a sign of a stroke or even ms. Most likely it is

neither and you won't find the cause. The weird pains in your legs--

what were they like? Also, vasculitis can cause imflammation of the

optic nerve and that can produce dramatic symptoms. Anything that

affects your circulation could affect both your eyes and your legs.

So dont panic, but please check it out with your doctor just to make

sure that it isnt something serious. Are you on any meds? Taking

any supplements? You should make sure you aren't having a reaction

to something. Hopefully whatever it was, it won't happen again.

Hugs

kathy
