Guest guest
West developed that technique. Dee Kassing I am trying to find the source (person) who posted about treatment of nipple vasospasm by rolling motion from base of nipple to tip to return blood flow. I searched the archives but don't see it and wonder if it was originally poster on this list or Lactnet? Thanks! Barbara Latterner
Guest guest
Yes, West has discussed massage from behind the nipple after feedings as one the measures to keep the circulation high and head-off the vasospasm.Diane Weissinger also has a hand-out on vasospasm which is a round-up of ideas. (Her CD of hand-outs is a valuable addition to an LC toolkit.)http://www.normalfed.com/index.htmlSometimes it makes mothers feel better that they're on common ground -- that this issue comes up often enough that you have a hand-out on it.Margaret Wills, land
