My name is a, I am 42 yrs old I have active HVC with stage three cirrohsis with stage four liver failure with a fatty liver thrown in on top of that I am not yet having the serious problems but am now off of work due to the fatigue and side effects of interferon, I have lost job-insurance. I live in a county in Texas with no public hospital and to get help in dallas you have to live in the county I applied for ssi and was told that I wasn't sick enough basically came down to my kidneys still working they don't care I work all my adult life pay taxes and done the right thing as an adult and now cannot get anyhelp from the goverment, do you guiys know of any organizations that can help me Thanks a Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Anyhow I JUST got my SSI/Social Security Disability ad don't believe ALL you hear. Go to your local Congressman's office they WILL help you in this case and GET A LAWYER I did. See they want us to give up but as you can see after 4 years I didn't. Anyhow please don't give up keep going, even my attorney said he thought due to my age I wouldn't get it but I did, at 40. I have many different Hepatitis C website's online for awareness and education if you would like to join etc...
