Guest guest
Hi, My hair started falling out about a year before explant. I had a very thick head of hair so it just looked thinner. Every shower I took clogged up the drain so I had to buy something to catch the hair. My biggest problem is that my hairline receded about 1/2 inch. I didn't even realize this until looking at old pictures. Anyway, I was explanted in November and I have just started feeling stubbly growing in at the roots. It doesn't seem to be all over my head just yet but in spots. As for the size of my breasts, they are bigger now than they were before I had the implants. This could be because I had gained alot of weight because of them. 70 pounds. I've lost 40 very slowly. I have another 40 to go. I also was dx'd hashimotos hypothyroid severalyears after implants, and have high antibodies. Has anyone had theirantibodies go down or disappear following explant as well? I wouldreally appreciate hearing this, because I am considering explant inJune and would hate to be both bald and flat afterward (I did't evenfit into a bra before, and now have very small implants...150cc).Opinions expressed are NOT meant to take the place of advice given by licensed health care professionals. Guest guest
Beth: Am having the exact same problem (plus arthritis symptoms) as well. Hair clogs up the drain and is all over the house! Did you have a complete capsulectomy or just implant removal? I'm asking because I am currently trying to schedule surgery but don't know which way to go. Original PS says no to capsulectomy (because I was soooo small to begin with) and Drs. Feng and Kolb say definitely yes to capsulectomy....if you could let me know I would appreciate it!! Guest guest
Shana, If you are having your implants removed because of health problems, whether you are small breasted shouldn’t matter, your health is most important. There are lots of great padded bras out there plus, if you are small breasted, you won’t have to worry about sagging as you age. Drs. Feng and Kolb are saying definitely yes for a reason, they are the experts. Kenda Beth: Am having the exact same problem (plus arthritis symptoms) as well.
