Guest guest
Dear , I am concerned for you. The fact that you have textured saline sends warning bells ringing. Textured saline can flake silicone into the body. If Sherri hasn't responded yet, hopefully she will do so. She had textured. It's possible you may be reacting solely to the silicone or possible to an infection as well. Salines do get infected. You need to make sure your capsules are removed, en bloc is the actual term. If your doctor doesn't know how to do this, or refuses to, then I strongly encourage you to go to someone who knows how to do this properly, Feng, Melmed, Kolb, there are others as well. I didn't have removal money either as I only had mine 11 months, but my retired mother jumped in and paid for my surgery. With determination, there will be a way. Your implants and capsules may be containing bacteria/fungi, in fact, if they are saline, then sadly they probably do. Having the capsules removed not only eases your mind that you got everything out, but also aids in quicker recovery. There are some women who have recovered with the capsules left in, but others have continued to grow worse because of bacterias remaining behind in the capsules. You also need to take possession of your implants after explanting. They are yours, you own them. If you choose to have them tested for bacteria/fungi by Dr. Blais, he can give you instruction on how they should be prepared for shipping. Just curious, have you had your ANA levels tested? We are here for you and are proof that you can get better after removal. hugs, Beth L.
